A two hour meeting with Siemens management representatives (including Dr. Russwurm, member of the board of the Siemens AG) and OS Kovo President Josef Stredula, EMF General Secretary Peter Scherrer and trade union representatives from the Siemens plant SKV was held this morning.
The trade union representatives criticised massively the information policy of Siemens. Once again, the workers and the representatives of the European
Works Council of Siemens have been informed after the decision of the management to close Siemens SKV plant in Prague.
“It is not acceptable that workers have to learn from the media that the plant they work in is about to be closed” said Josef Stredula and with that also expressed the anger of all the workers in the plant.
The management was willing to nominate representatives for further talks about the future process at Siemens SKV Prague. Peter Scherrer insisted on the full information of trade unions and workers representatives.
