The EMF participates in the launch of the ETUC project in Turkey "WORKERS - TOGETHER"

The ETUC project "WORKERS - TOGETHER" Civil Society Dialogue - bringing together workers from Turkey and the European Union through a shared culture of work - has officially been launched today. The meeting, taking place today and tomorrow (21st and 22nd October 2008) in Ankara, with a big opening conference which is being attended by, among others, the ETUC General Secretary, John Monks, the Turkish Minister of Labour and Social Protection Faruk Celik, the 3 Presidents of the Turkish confederations DISK, HAK-IS and TURK-IS, and many other European confederations and federations.

EMF Conference in the framework of the South-Eastern European Forum (SEEF)

EU integration and challenges for trade unions: For sustainable employment in the metal industry in South-Eastern Europe

Budapest, 24th–26th October 2007

The conference aims to provide the possibility of exchanging information and experiences on the enlargement process between trade unions in the New Member States and in the Acceding, Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries. It will also give the opportunity to launch new work priorities for the next Congress period: to analyse the current situation and challenges as well as to provide the basis for an intensive debate on metalworkers’ strategies with regard to European integration.

Joint EMF and DGB Bildungswerk project

„Strengthening of the Social Dialogue in South-Eastern Europe through CSR instruments“

The EMF and DGB Bildungswerk with the financial support of the European Commission launched a joint project for the EMF affiliates in the South-Eastern Europe.
