The EMF Secretariat is happy to invite the press to a press conference at the end of the closing seminar of the EMF China project.
The aim of the project is to arrive at a common assessment of China's economic future and its consequences for Europe based on the situation in three metal sectors: steel, shipbuilding and automotive.
The purpose of the project:
• Knowledge of industrial development
• Protect the European Social Model
• Policy influence on a European level
• Positioning of the European metal industry
• Feed the sector dialogue
The conference will discuss, among other things, the future of Chinese auto exports to Europe, the threat of over capacities in steel and the development of the high tech segment in shipbuilding.
The EMF General Secretary, Peter Scherrer, will be attending the press conference, and is available to answer your questions together with the consultants commissioned to write a study for the EMF “European industries shaken up by industrial growth in China: What regulations are required for a sustainable economy?”
The study is available
